Native Shoes is a Vancouver-based, vegan footwear brand with a mission—to inspire all to Live Lightly. In a recent collaboration with Sanrio, Native Shoes launched a children's shoe collection featuring five iconic Sanrio characters. Like us, Sanrio characters have distinct personalities, lifestyles, and aspirations. We wanted to merge the Sanrio universe and reality to create a juxtaposition of cartoon and real life. Following the creative direction, I created web and social media assets combining 2D Sanrio characters, real-life products, and models to create a playful and approachable vibe. The collection received a lot of love and became wildly popular with the target customer.
